CHIEF COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
As Chief Communications Officer, Tim Bampton leads strategic communications and sustainability for McLaren Racing, reporting into CEO, Zak Brown. Tim joined McLaren in August 2017 and oversees the team’s media relations, brand, partner, internal and corporate communications, alongside the organisation’s strategic priority of sustainability, focused on long-term environmental and societal goals.
With more than 25 years’ experience in communications and marketing, Tim has worked in-house, consultancy and agency for or with corporations and brands including BAT, BMW, Diageo, Honda, LG, UBS, UPS, Verizon and Williams. He co-founded and managed a specialist communications agency before joining the JMI agency and spending time in the US, returning to London in a group role when JMI became part of Chime Communications’ global sports marketing agency, CSM.
