We're celebrating our 1000th Grand Prix this weekend, so we’re going to have a quiz to test your knowledge of McLaren's previous 999 races

McLaren’s origins story has all of the required rags-to-riches elements. The team, when founded in 1963, really did start in half a rented shed with a dirt floor, and the office really did double as home for at least three of the original staff… but within a couple of years and several factory relocations, the team had developed sufficiently to contemplate a move into F1. In the gap between Australia retaining the Ashes and England lifting the World Cup, Bruce McLaren Motor Racing made its F1 debut with the M2B.
The team that still bears his name has come a long way since then. Success at Le Mans, in IndyCar and Can-Am, over 500 F1 podiums, including 203 F1 victories, and with them 10 Constructors’ and 13 Drivers’ World Championship titles – but how well do you know our history?
To help you find out, we've created a quiz for you and Oscar to take on. Watch us put the question to Oscar, submit your answer, and then reveal whether the two of you got it right.
