Oscar, Lando, Zak, and Andrea show the British singer-songwriter around McLaren HQ
Global superstar and British singer-songwriter Adele swapped the mic for Mission Control at McLaren Racing in a recent visit with her teenage son to the team's HQ in Woking, revealing that they are both "obsessed" with Formula 1.
Adele was granted an access-all-areas tour of the factory and even charmed her way into a few places that, as she put it, “I don’t know if everyone’s allowed to see.” This included a trip to Mission Control with Team Principal Andrea Stella, where she embraced her new role as a Race Engineer and even coined an effective, if cheeky, replacement for the “Box, box” call used to bring cars into the pit lane.
The Rolling in the Deep singer also had the opportunity to set a lap time on our racing simulator in the Gaming Studio.
And no trip to the McLaren Technology Centre would be complete without stopping by Zak Brown’s office to talk shop.
