The McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team is utilising its strong Supplier partnerships with Matsuura and SPE to improve the manufacturing process
The McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team is pleased to share that in 2025, we strengthened our longstanding supplier partnership with Staffordshire Precision Engineering (SPE). This was the evolution of an established, strong relationship and included the installation of a new Matsuura 100H machine at their facility. The machine installed at the SPE site is fully online and has already enhanced our 2026 F1 car production. This marks the first in a series of strategic alignments with key suppliers, aimed at strengthening collaboration, enhancing performance, and fully integrating our partners into our operational network to deliver performance to our car. By building on an already strong relationship, this initiative enables deeper collaboration, allowing the exchange of ideas, methodologies, and process improvements. The focus will remain on process excellence, right-first-time (RFT) delivery, and embedded quality, all executed with the speed and agility required in Formula 1.
