Formula 1 Grand Prix start times revealed for 2025
The FIA have announced when every race for the upcoming season will begin
Formula 1 fans can start setting their alarms for the year ahead, with the FIA announcing when each Grand Prix will begin in 2025.
The biggest change to the timings is the start time of the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Lights out will now take place at 20:00 local time on 22 November (04:00 GMT on 23 November), two hours earlier than in 2024. The three Free Practice sessions and Qualifying will also take place two hours earlier.
Elsewhere, it’s set to be an early start to the campaign for our European fanbase, with the season-opening Australian Grand Prix beginning at 04:00 GMT on 16 March. The second round of the season in China on 23 March will also begin relatively early at 07:00 GMT, as will the third round in Japan, which is scheduled for a 05:00 GMT start.
Round 4 in Bahrain is the first race on the calendar that will start in the afternoon in Europe, with lights out at 15:00 GMT. The season will conclude as normal with a 17:00 local time (13:00 GMT) twilight race in Abu Dhabi on 7 December.
