2026 Formula 1 calendar announced

Formula 1’s eagerly awaited new regulations cycle will debut in Australia in March 2026

Formula 1 has unveiled a bumper 24-race calendar for 2026, marking the beginning of a new era with updated rules and a fresh generation of cars.

For the third year in a row, Formula 1 have announced a record-breaking 24 Grands prix across five continents.

The current regulations cycle, which began in 2022, will conclude at the end of the current 2025 season. In 2026, the introduction of revised aerodynamic and power unit rules will result in smaller, lighter F1 cars that use 100% sustainable fuels and have increased battery power.

The brand-new cars will make their competitive debut in Melbourne, with the Australian Grand Prix confirmed to host the season opener on 6-8 March. The season will conclude with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on 4-6 December.

The 2026 FIA Formula 1 World Championship is as follows:

There have been some changes to the 2026 calendar, which include the addition of a highly anticipated race around the streets of Madrid, scheduled for 11-13 September.

For the first time in over 20 years, the Monaco Grand Prix will not take place in May, with the race moving to 4-6 June. This change will see the Canadian Grand Prix brought forward to 22-24 May to follow the Miami Grand Prix (1-3 May). This prevents two separate trips away from Europe, as F1 continues to improve the flow of races as part of their target to make the calendar more sustainable.

The race in Monaco will mark the start of the European season, which spans nine races and concludes in Madrid, ahead of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on 25-27 September. This includes the Barcelona Grand Prix (12-14 June), while the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix has been dropped from the calendar for 2026.

The season will conclude in Abu Dhabi, at the end of a triple header, which will see teams race in Las Vegas (19-21 November) and Qatar (27-29 November).
