The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix according to social media

Aussie accents, bucket hats, tea and biscuits: Saudi Arabia’s best tweets

Four points finishes from two Grands Prix and a feeling that there’s much more to come. It’s been a solid start to the season (especially in comparison to this time last year) and although the on-track action has yet to truly set our pulses racing, spirits were rightfully high as the team returned to the McLaren Technology Centre for the first time in several weeks on Monday.

Lando and Oscar were delighted to have gotten back out there and to have clocked up plenty of miles in the top 10, returning to the MTC eager to debrief on the opening two rounds before they go again in Australia in two weeks.

They were also buzzing to have seen your beautiful faces in person for the first time since the end of the 2023 season. And judging by social media, you were just as happy to see us too, filling our feeds with images of you at the track and watching on from home, decked out in our newest merchandise.

Here’s what you made of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on social media…

Bucket hats are back, you say? Ohh no, no. Bucket hats never went anywhere.

What gave it away?

And that’s just what they’ll do.

Never in doubt.

In the hunt from fifth and sixth.

Did we get you?

Impossible to separate on and off track.

Keeping up with the McLarens.

Looking good, feline fine.

Speaking of which, practice makes purrfect.

Tea and biscuits (custard creams, of course) served on arrival.

Happy race day, team!

Don’t worry, @toxicgomezxo, none of us do!

That start from Oscar left us speechless.

Another double points finish and 16 points gained. Not everything went to plan, but there was some fantastic racing out there from both Lando and Oscar in tough conditions. Solid stuff, team!

Although he was unable to hold onto it, Lando became only the second driver to lead a Grand Prix this season.

Alright, Oscar, we make the jokes around here.

Back down to earth with a bump… But good news, the NEOM McLaren FE Team are in action this week in São Paulo.

Brace yourself for two weeks of Lando’s Aussie accent. He’s been practising (or so he claims).

On the road again… Sing it with us, Papaya Army.

Aus, we’re coming for you. Bring on OP’s home race.
