The Hungarian Grand Prix according to social

Embracing the nerves and revelling in the pride: The best social posts from Oscar’s Hungarian GP victory

You just knew it was coming, didn’t you? Oscar’s first Grand Prix win never felt like it was far away, but boy, did it feel good. When we signed the Aussie talent back in 2022, we couldn’t have ever comprehended just how special our relationship as team and driver would become.

And for it to come as part of a one-two – our first since the 2021 Italian Grand Prix - just made it all the sweeter. Over the past few years, we’ve followed the adage that ‘days like this don’t come around too often’, but they’re becoming increasingly common. Yet, we’ll never stop celebrating each win as if it's our last, and we’ll never stop striving for more.

The most beautiful part of any successful weekend, though, is seeing the joy on your faces, at track and through your reactions on social media. We’ve been back through all of your posts on X and selected our favourites, as we attempt to sum up a remarkable weekend in Hungary.

The weekend started just like any other… Well, a little hotter than most, but normal all the same.

And you certainly weren’t any different – as loud and as proudly papaya as ever.

Practice was promising.

But.... this is F1, and nothing is ever simple, is it? Who needs a dry Qualifying, anyway...

Thankfully, you know we love a challenge.

What a shift from the boys in papaya.

Lando Norris, you beauty!

And right behind him? Who else… Oscar Jack Piastri.

Nothing beats a race day smile, and you were delivering plenty of them.

Join the club! Let’s embrace the nerves together.

What a start from Oscar! He flies into the lead.

You absolutely love to see it!

But with 65 more laps to go, could we hold on?

Of course we could...  It was a nerve-wracking race, but Oscar and Lando held on to secure a historic one-two, our first since the 2021 Italian Grand Prix.

Introducing you to F1’s newest race winner…

This is only the start.

Building a new legacy together as one team, one family.

Whether you were at the track in Hungary or watching from home, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Sing it with us!

Take it all in, Osc.

Better to be safe than sorry, right?

Frame it? We should hang it in the Lourve.

Who else visited the McLaren Technology Centre on Monday to see our sign lit up?

And what’s better? We get to do it all again this weekend! We can’t wait to see you in Spa, Papaya Army.
