Prior to this year's race in Austin, the last time we had taken Pole in the US Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton was driving a chrome-coloured McLaren... so it was fitting that we were back in the fan-favourite livery this weekend as Lando topped Qualifying, his sixth Pole in 10 races.

Our car was wearing a special one-off chrome livery for this weekend’s race, in partnership with Google, and although it might not have ended up on the podium in Sunday’s race, it did bring home Pole, a Sprint podium and a whole lot of points, as Lando and Oscar shone in a sparkly MCL38 in the Lone Star State.
