The Qatar Grand Prix according to social

Tennis, papaya sunsets, and Freaky Friday: the best of social from Lusail

In any Formula 1 season, especially one as long as 2024, you’re always going to experience highs and lows, but luckily, we’ve always got the positivity of the Papaya Army to give us a welcome boost, should we ever need it.

Having experienced your phenomenal support in person at the Qatar Grand Prix, we jumped on social media during our journey away from the circuit to catch up with those of you watching the weekend from around the world. This is the Qatar Grand Prix according to social media.

You can take the boy out of Australia…

Say it louder.

Oscar in a coat and Lando in a polo shirt? We thought the new Freaky Friday film wasn't out until 2025.

The sky has good taste. 🌅🧡

Plenty of you were making a racket about this F1 X tennis collab. 🎾

We love having an additional Qualiying session on a Sprint weekend, but it doesn't half raise the heart rate. 😬

Never mind, needn’t have worried…

A mega effort. 💪 Let's see what we can do from the front in the Sprint.

Nothing like an early overtake to settle the nerves.

You heard @everythinglando, bring it home, boys. 👊

The first team to finish one-two in multiple Sprints.

That’s what we’re saying, @landolapinto.

Carrying over the good vibes into GP Quali.

Strong starting positions to fight from. 💪

The best day of the week, bar none.

Let’s go, Papaya Army. 🧡

Lando floored it off the line, getting an excellent launch to lunge into second at the start of the Grand Prix.

Oscar dropped to fourth when the lights went out, but quickly recovered the position after an early Safety Car, overtaking Leclerc at the restart to regain third.

After receiving and serving a 10-second stop/go penalty, Lando remerged in P15 and set his sights on fighting back into the top 10.

Mission accomplished. ✅

Points in the bag, and an eighth podium of the year for Oscar.

New week, new opportunities. See you in Abu Dhabi, Papaya Army. 🧡👋
