The British Grand Prix according to social

Matching smiles, the mystery machine, and a pair of safe hands: The best of social from Silverstone

The British Grand Prix never fails to amaze us. The crowd is immense, the support fills our hearts with love, and the four days are packed full of wild and wonderful moments.

The weekend kicked off on Thursday when Lando met his mini-me in the paddock, dressed in a full race suit, and ended with Oscar on the fan stage doing a shoey. In between then, we saw Mary Earps take part in a hot lap, Lando play darts with Luke Littler, and even watched the crowd vote via their voices for their favourite British biscuit as they waited for Lando and Oscar to come on stage. And all of that barely scratches the surface.

We’ve attempted to capture the best of our weekend by going back through your reactions on social media. Here’s what you made of the 2024 British Grand Prix on X…

We’re not sure what Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. team were doing at Silverstone, but we love that they’ve undergone a McLaren makeover.

Both wearing a smile.

Meet Lando and Oscar's newest teammate.

Discussing aerodynamics... Rear wings and dart flights are basically the same thing, right?! 🎯

Hands off, Socceroos, he’s ours. ⚽

We couldn't wait to see all of you live either!

They always brighten our day. 😎

Good point, well made. But hey, if you dig deep enough, you’ll find soil.

We can confirm there was a correct response to this post.

Nicely parked, don’t forget to put the handbrake on that statement.

Papaya and proud. 🧡

We’re going to say yes.

Have you tried screaming louder?

It’s showtime, baby.

Q3 looks good on us, don’t you think?

Great grid positions to fight from, with your support to drive us.

We all knew he had this in his locker.

It’s because she knew she was in safe hands (pun intended).

Happy birthday and happy race, @AlanSabatino!

Soaking was certainly the right word for a very wet Sunday morning, but even in the rain, our drivers still managed to shine.

One down and we all knew what was coming next...

... And as if by magic.

It didn’t last, but we loved sharing this moment with you all.

We all know what happened from here, but we’ll grown from these experiences and bounce back stronger. 💪

Lots learnt and plenty to be positive about moving forwards, with more valuable points banked. 👊

We couldn’t leave without a final present for the Papaya Army. You were incredible all weekend long.

Own up, who has Oscar’s right shoe? 👟🍾

Something like that.

We mean every word. Over and out Papaya Army, we can’t wait to see you at Silverstone next year. Next up: the Hungarian Grand Prix.
