The Austrian Grand Prix according to social

Apex predators, double-stack stops, and furniture requests: The best of social from Spielberg

Well, that was some weekend, wasn’t it? We came away from the Austrian Grand Prix with a lot to talk about, but there’s also plenty that we probably shouldn’t speak about.

We’ve learned over our many, many years in Formula 1 to always focus on the positives, and that’s exactly what we’ll be doing as we head towards this weekend’s upcoming British Grand Prix.

Those positives include Oscar’s remarkable charge from seventh to second and the huge chunk of points we picked up over the weekend, including our double podium in the Sprint. There’s also the fact we looked pretty nifty in all of the sessions. So, for all of our frustrations at various points in Austria, there’s a strong feel-good factor around the camp heading into the final race of this triple header.

As always, we’ve started our week off by going back through your social media reactions from the weekend and selected our favourites. Here’s what you made of the Austrian Grand Prix.

That’s what we meant by incognito. 🕵️‍♀️

Sometimes you gotta make sacrifices.

We’re really feeling the love.

You’re not ready.

We LOVE Sprint Quali Fridays.

The finest of margins. 🤏

Oscar knows.

Why have just one formation lap when you can have two?

Reason 1984013948023 why we love the Sprints.

Our championship charge continues, but we’re just getting started.

Anyone got a longer seat? We keep falling off the edge of ours. 🪑

Another Qualifying session, anyone?

How about another P2?

Good to see you’ve got your priorities straight.

RAWR.

Fire in our bellies, ready to fight in Sunday’s race.

We knew this felt familiar.

Thanks, Papaya Army! We 🧡 you.

Lights out and away we go!

Quick off the mark! What a move from Oscar on Perez, and what a start to the race. Oscar isn't hanging about.

We all did, @ExileftNini! It was a little hard to concentrate.

Double-stack pit stop, say what? You outdid yourself this time team.

Another place down, Oscar was on a mission.

A heartbreaking end to the Austrian Grand Prix for Lando, who was fighting for the lead before colliding with Verstappen. 💔

Thankfully, Oscar was in a position to capitalise, pouncing on Sainz for second, following Lando and Verstappen’s collision.

All in a day’s work.

You know it.

Everyone knows the first rule of the Austrian Grand Prix: You don’t speak about track limits.

We’re assuming ‘O’ is short to ‘Ohh wow’? Or is it Oscar? It’s probably Oscar.

We can’t wait to see you all trackside! Bring on our home race. 🇬🇧
