The São Paulo Grand Prix according to social media

Overtakes, Austin Powers, and wrestling names: São Paulo’s best tweets

There were mixed emotions at the end of this weekend’s São Paulo Grand Prix as Lando raced to his seventh podium of the season, closing in on fourth in the Drivers’ Championship, whilst Oscar was left rueing tough luck after getting caught up in a collision at the start of the race.

It proved once again that F1’s a sport of fine margins, and Lando and Oscar were on either side of that on Sunday, but it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits (Friday’s rain, on the other hand….), as we still left the Autódromo José Carlos Pace with a healthy haul of points.

We were also happy knowing that we’d have plenty of positivity to review on social media this Monday morning, with your amazing support continuing to fuel us all weekend.

Here’s a round up of our favourites.

Now there’s a thought… Imagine snuggling up in a tyre warmer on the sofa whilst watching qualifying in the winter.

As well as the battles happening on track in Brazil, there was a battle off it… The battle for the best McLaren nail design.

However, luck sadly wasn’t on our side in qualifying, but you knew we’d be up for the fight on Sunday.

It was a tough start for Oscar, who got caught up in a collision and required a hefty fix from the garage in record time during a Red Flag period.
