2026 Arrow McLaren Streets of Washington D.C. Practice and Qualifying Report

It was an action‑packed Saturday on the historic streets of Washington, D.C., as the NTT INDYCAR SERIES turned laps around the National Mall for the first time with a pair of practice sessions and Qualifying.

All three Arrow McLaren drivers advanced out of the opening round of Qualifying late in the afternoon, with Pato leading the team in P7 and Christian and Nolan securing P9 and P12, respectively.

The trio rolls off shortly after 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday for 147 laps and 250 miles of wheel‑to‑wheel racing as the series celebrates America’s 250th birthday.

"It was a long day with a condensed schedule today. We kept making the car better each session. We're starting P7 and just missed out on the Firestone Fast 6. Looking forward to the long race tomorrow. It's going to be a tough one, so I'm going to make sure I'm well hydrated."

"Long day at the office. We’re obviously driving on a track with some cool surroundings. It’s one hell of an event that’s being put on by the NTT INDYCAR SERIES this weekend. We rolled off pretty well this morning, and I’m a little bummed that we didn’t execute as well as we could have in Q2 as we were fighting grip, fighting lap time. It’s a long race tomorrow, though, so it’s just about being in it."

"It was a very weird day here in D.C. I thought we were going to be in the Fast 6 after Practice 2 but just lost some pace in Qualifying. So, I’m a little disappointed with that, but we will be in an okay spot, and we will be able to pass on this track through a long race."
