NTT INDYCAR SERIES action finally got underway north of the border in Markham, Ontario, on Saturday with two practice sessions and Qualifying after Friday's session was postponed due to track construction delays.
Christian led the way for Arrow McLaren and will take the green flag from the front row Sunday in P2. Nolan flashed pace during Qualifying but an untimely red flag came out as he was on his flyer lap. Pato was in position to transfer out of the first round, but his fastest lap time was disallowed after he caused a local yellow flag in the closing seconds of the round.
With Markham set to host 90 laps of IndyCar racing on Sunday, the Arrow McLaren trio will look to capitalize on opportunities as the field continues to learn the new, challenging circuit.

"I'm still surprised with that. I'm bummed for Pato that he got kicked out of Q1. At the end of the day, I think we had some pretty good cars today, and we pulled out a tremendous run in the Firestone Fast 6 that I didn't think we had. This is a lot better than where I thought we would be. All to play for tomorrow."

"It’s been so difficult to extract lap time this weekend. I know we were right there to be able to transfer. No one was able to bump us out in that last single lap for everyone. We’re just going to have to fight for it from the rear of the field tomorrow. It’s been a stressful weekend in terms of performance."
