"It's definitely a cool opportunity, and we're ready to make the most of it"

This weekend, for the first time, the stars and cars of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES head to Washington D.C. for a 250-mile race to celebrate 250 years of the United States of America.
The historic event will take place on a temporary 1.7-mile, seven-turn street circuit built around the National Mall. Race organizers claim this will be the first race down Pennsylvania Avenue since President Thomas Jefferson held horse races to celebrate America's 25th birthday.
Pato, Nolan and Christian will look to carry momentum into America's capital city following positive finishes in a chaotic race last weekend on the streets of Markham, Ontario. A busy two-day event gets underway on Saturday with two practice sessions and Qualifying ahead of Sunday's 147-lap race.

"We've all had this race weekend circled on the calendar since it was announced. It's obviously a very unique event, and I'm grateful for the chance to race in the capital as part of America's 250th celebration.
