"It’s a tricky new circuit that caused some chaos on track, so I’m glad we got all three cars through in tact"

The streets of Markham came alive Sunday with the roar of NTT INDYCAR SERIES action, which featured intense wheel-to-wheel racing action amidst several different evolving strategy options.
In the end, Pato and the No. 5 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet crew climbed 18 positions, the most gained in a race in his IndyCar career, to secure a top-five finish. Pato's 28 on-track passes were the most of any driver on the day, while Christian added 22 overtakes to finish P6.
Nolan pushed the pace and charged forward, as well, climbing to the lead on an alternate strategy, where he led for eight laps. After cycling back in the field following a pit stop, an incident on lap 59 halted his push forward. He recovered to finish P12, still gaining five positions throughout the chaotic race.
Arrow McLaren will prepare for the debut of another street circuit next weekend, racing on the streets of Washington D.C. in a highly-anticipated race weekend across August 22-23.

"It's been a really tough weekend, so it was really nice to end it out with a top-five finish. It was crazy out there. It was like bumper cars on every single restart. We're going to Washington next weekend, and I'm sure it's going to also be crazy. Great layout this weekend; I really enjoyed driving the track. I've got to thank my crew for fine-tuning the car and doing so many changes session to session. I feel like we tried seven different setups this weekend and happily, we ended up with the best one."

"This weekend left us a bit confused. Obviously some good moments that honestly took us by surprise, starting in the front row. It’s a tricky new circuit that caused some chaos on track, so I’m glad we got all three cars through in tact. We didn’t land the strategy, but at least we stayed in the fight and got some valuable points again."

"That was one of the most chaotic IndyCar races I have ever been a part of. We were in a good spot there after passing most of the field. From there, strategies seemed to evolve quite a bit, and we cycled through just about every position within the pack before bringing it home. I will take the result for how chaotic today was."
"A busy and chaotic weekend once we got cars on track yesterday. It took us a few sessions on track to navigate the new circuit and find our pace, and we got there with Christian to get a start on the front row. Pato and Nolan had to work harder to race to the front today, and all three cars made a lot of passes and stayed clean to round out the weekend in a solid finish. We didn’t totally nail the strategy, but the team put up a good fight and had the top Chevy finishes. We’re onto another new street course next week in DC, and we have a lot to fight for."
