Scott Dixon set for the No. 6, Felix Rosenqvist to return to the No. 7
The Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team today announced its driver numbers for its new lineup entering the 2027 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season. Pato O’Ward will continue in the No. 5, while Scott Dixon will take over the No. 6 entry and Felix Rosenqvist will pilot the No. 7. In the team’s additional Indy 500 entry, Ryan Hunter-Reay will continue with the No. 31 next May.
Additionally, Arrow McLaren unveiled a new font style for car numbers in line with the rebrand McLaren Racing rolled out on Tuesday that will go into effect in January 2027.
Scott is set to sport a new car number in IndyCar competition for the first time in more than two decades after competing in his familiar No. 9 for all but one of the past 24 seasons (No. 1 in 2004). Fresh off his Indy 500 victory in 2026, Felix returns to the No. 7 entry, the same number he drove during his first two seasons with Arrow McLaren from 2021-22.
The 2027 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season will kick off March 7 in St. Petersburg, Fla. IndyCar earlier announced Phase 1 of the season’s schedule through the Indy 500, and the remainder of the schedule will be announced in due course.
