"I’m so happy we were able to execute here on the biggest stage in the United States and get the results and the hardware today"

The NTT INDYCAR SERIES took to the streets of Washington D.C. Sunday for 147 laps and 250 miles in the series' highly-anticipated race in the nation's capital. Christian led the way for Arrow McLaren with a P2 finish, his sixth podium of the season.
The No. 7 VELO Arrow McLaren Chevrolet totaled 12 on-track passes, advancing seven positions from a ninth-place starting position. Nolan recorded the best finish of his IndyCar career in sixth, charging forward and making up 12 positions over the course of the exhaustive battle. Pato came home P16 to round out the day.
With two race weekends remaining in the 2026 campaign, the team heads to the Milwaukee Mile for a doubleheader weekend August 29-30 as they continue to fight for valuable championship points.

"Long day, long weekend. I’m very thankful for the No. 7 VELO Arrow McLaren crew who’s done an amazing job all weekend, and really all year in general. I’m so happy we were able to execute here on the biggest stage in the United States and get the results and the hardware today. We’ll go again next week and the week after that."

"Long and hot day. P6, our best finish of the season, so I’m very, very proud of everyone on the 6 car. It was a pleasure to drive all weekend and what a place to do it. It was such a cool event. It absolutely set the standard for IndyCar. I’ve just been having a blast all weekend. It feels really good to put a good result on the board and to to do it here in the nation’s capital is so special. It’s an honor to be here and an honor to drive this car, and I’m looking forward to finishing the season strong."

“A struggle in the race today. Just a really tough time trying to keep up with the race pace. We had to make additional stops because we had an issue fueling the car for some reason. We're going to work to figure out what happened, and then go to Milwaukee and try to have a strong weekend there.”
"What a weekend here in DC. It was a great event from start to finish, and we capped it off in a big way with P2 from Christian and Nolan’s top-career finish in P6. Unfortunately, Pato and the 5 car didn’t have the pace we needed and a fueling issue kept him from competing at full force. I’m proud of the team and their effort all weekend. It could have been easy to get distracted with how big this event is, but we kept our heads down and worked hard all weekend to make the most of it on track and also put on a great show for our partners who came out to support us. We’ll get right back to work tomorrow and prep for the Milwaukee Mile doubleheader next weekend."
