A busy day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway led to great starting positions for the Arrow McLaren team.

Alexander Rossi will start Saturday's race on the IMS Road Course from the third position with Pato behind him in fourth, both making the Firestone Fast Six. Felix Rosenqvist wasn't able to make it out of Round 2 and qualified in the 10th position.

Alexander Rossi, Driver, No. 7 VELO Arrow McLaren Chevrolet, said:

"Qualifying today was good for us. It’s our best qualifying of the year. The team did a really good job. This is the first track that we're seeing twice in the season, so starting from where we are tomorrow on a familiar track, I’m happy with that. We will see what we can do; we know we have a great car. It is of course disappointing to feel like we’re missing out a little bit, being close to the front row, but with a great car for tomorrow, we can get a great result."

Pato O'Ward, Driver, No. 5 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet, said:

"Since practice, we made a few changes to go in the right direction. We’re still not where we have to be, and we’d still like to make it better. From when we raced here back in May to now in August this place has completely changed. Some of the drivers who are usually near the front aren’t today. I feel like we have had some very good qualifying sessions here in the past, but we have sometimes struggled to capitalize. It was a different story earlier this year in May when we did well. I hope we can get ourselves starting from there and hopefully make it go a little bit better."

Felix Rosenqvist, Driver, No. 6 NTT DATA Arrow McLaren Chevrolet, said:

"Today was a pretty solid day for us. Practice went well; we finished P2. In qualifying, we didn’t manage to get the best lap together. I struggled with the rear tires locking a bit. I’m a bit disappointed that we didn’t make it to the Fast Six as I think the car had the pace. Overall, we were strong, and I think as a team we can move forward in the race tomorrow. I’m looking forward to it."

"We're the only team with all the cars in the top 10 and a great day for Alexander Rossi getting P3 and showing a lot of pace on the Firestone Blacks as well, which is exciting going into the race. So, we've got a little bit of work to do to make sure we've got some good race cars, and we'll go from there."
