"There is work to do around our Qualifying execution to make race day easier, but the team know exactly what to focus on"
F1 Media & Technology Centre, Monday, 27 April
The 2026 Sim Racing World Championship continued during Event Two on 22 and 23 April. Racing the circuits of Saudi Arabia, Spain and Great Britain, all nine competing teams were based at the F1 Media & Technology Centre in Biggin Hill. This is the first time the Championship has taken place in the F1’s new studios, which will also host the next two events.
Event Two began with the Saudi Arabian circuit. Unfortunately, both drivers faced challenging Qualifying sessions, with Alfie starting the race from P16 and Jake from P15. Jake suffered some light damage to his front wing following a small incident in Lap 1. He stayed out and kept a good enough pace, however, he finished in P16. Alfie had a cleaner race, with the team opting for a Hard to Medium tyre strategy, helping the driver gain six places to finish in the points in P10 and taking the Fastest Lap.
On Thursday, the team had a busy day with two rounds. First up was Spain, the first time the circuit has been on the F1 Sim Racing World Championship calendar. With improved Qualifying performances, Alfie started the race in P6 and Jake in P11. Jake opted to start the race on Softs, which helped him jump multiple positions to P7 after just one lap. The race itself was eventful, with the front of the grid being involved in multiple close calls and incidents. Alfie stayed out of trouble and finished the race in P5 and Jake in P6. However, following the race, Jake suffered a one-second penalty for not giving another driver enough racing room, dropping him to P8.
For the final race of Event Two, the nine teams competed on the iconic Silverstone circuit. Alfie started from P6 on the grid once again, and Jake in P12. With a wet race for all 26 laps, all 18 cars were on Intermediate tyres, with many of the cars opting to go long or stay out. Jake was lapping fastest for a portion of the race, but didn’t make it into the points. He drove an impressive race, despite sustaining damage from extremely close racing. Alfie did not pit, carefully managing the Intermediate tyres, finishing in P6, and securing an extra point for Fastest Lap.
The team finished Event Two sitting P4 in the Constructors’ Championship, with just 13 points separating them from P3. The team will focus on closing in on this gap over the upcoming rounds. Event Three, also taking place at the F1 Media & Technology Centre in Biggin Hill, will see the circuits of Spa, Zandvoort and Austin on 13 and 14 May.

“Event Two done. A bit of a mixed event for us. In Jeddah, we had a bit of an unfortunate Qualifying. Both Jake and I made a small mistake in Sector 1, which put us out in Q1. During the race, I managed to fight back to get a point and Fastest Lap, so it was good to walk away with two points, considering the Qualifying.
“For Spain, we had a solid Qualifying with P6. I didn’t quite get the lap together that I was hoping for in Q3. I definitely missed out on a few positions, but unfortunately, I was caught in an unavoidable incident in Lap 1, which caused some damage. We managed to stay in that position for the rest of the race, thanks to really good defending from Jake. We had some good teamwork throughout the race.
“We finished the day in Silverstone. I also started in P6. It was a wet race, and it was an uneventful race from my side. Kept it at P6 again, and I also got Fastest Lap. Overall, I walked away with 22 points for the team. We keep ticking away and give it our all for Event Three.”

“That is a wrap on Event Two. Not the best three races for me. Eight points overall. I had a quick car, so I know I could have walked away with more points with a better execution. I had a good race in Silverstone, with some fun battles, but they were at the wrong end of the pack. It happens with racing. Need to improve on Qualifying, as our pace is strong in the races.
“We still picked up some good points as a team. We now move on to Event Three, where we will give it our all and try to go for a comeback for the Championship.”
“We raced across three great circuits at Event Two, and it was our first time racing out of F1’s Media & Technology Centre, which provided a brilliant racing experience for the team, and a spectacle for the fans watching at home.
“Alfie scored points in all three races, and Jake consistently made great overtakes throughout the event to round out our continued strong race execution. There is work to do around our Qualifying execution to make race day easier, but the team know exactly what to focus on. I feel positive about our overall showing, and we’ll go again in a few weeks for Event Three.”
