"There's just not a lot you can do when it's a one-lane race"

The last 250 laps of the weekend have been turned.
In another race where track position was key, all three Arrow McLaren Chevrolets struggled to pass others on track. Pato O'Ward coasted to the checkered flag, gaining one position in the end to finish in P6. Nolan Siegel lost a few positions in the start and struggled to make up ground, finishing P14.
In the final lap, Alexander Rossi was involved in a multi-car incident. He was seen and released from INDYCAR Medical, and confirmed to finish in P15.
Hear from the drivers and Team Principal Gavin Ward as we close out our doubleheader weekend.

"Solid points weekend for the No. 5 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet. Obviously Saturday was a lot better than Sunday was, but the NTT INDYCAR SERIES is all about consistency and getting those top-fives or at least as close as you can to those. We did that this weekend."
Starting Position | P11 | |
Finishing Position | P14
Championship Position | P25 | 79 Points |
"Race 2 was not quite what we'd hoped for. I didn't get a great launch off the start and kind of got squeezed and lost a few spots and that was pretty much the whole race. I sat in the same position. I think the No. 6 NTT DATA Arrow McLaren Chevrolet was really good. There's just not a lot you can do when it's a one-lane race. The team did a good job. Everything was really good except the start, and that was that."
Starting Position | P6 | |
Finishing Position | P15
Championship Position | P8 | 265 Points |
"It was kind of the same race as yesterday where track position was very important. We were pretty much running where we started. I'm not sure what exactly happened with the fuel load, but we had to go into a pretty crazy save mode there at the end. I think we were going to get there, but unfortunately there was an incident when I was beginning to lose fuel out of Turn 2 and it ended our day. It was very unfortunate, and I feel like we let two really good results get away from us. The cars were good, and I am just hoping Sting Ray is okay at this point."
"First and foremost, hoping that Sting Ray is okay after the accident at the end there. We didn't do a good enough job for Alexander this weekend with an issue in the pits yesterday and then running him out of fuel at the end today. We will need to learn from those instances to be a better team the rest of the season and in the future. Aside from that, it was a difficult day all around on track, not really able to pass. The caution that came out helped out Will Power and Alex Palou, and that is what it is. Nolan has another race under his belt, another oval, and lots of learning from him today. It's just a shame because I think we had some really good cars that we could have made use of if track conditions allowed for more passing. Onto Toronto."
