"A great starting position to put ourselves into an opportunity for the Sunday that really matters"
Two days of Qualifying were compressed into one on Sunday at the 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500 due to a full rain out on Saturday.
With a solid first run, Pato advanced to Top 12 Qualifying and on again into the Firestone Fast 6. He and the No. 5 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet crew will start in great position - P6 on the outside of Row 2 - for the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing" next Sunday as the team tries to win its first Indy 500 in 50 years.
Christian, Nolan and Ryan missed out on advancing to the Top 12 round and will start P19, P21 and P23, respectively. Arrow McLaren hits the track again Monday for a two-hour Practice starting at 1:00 p.m. ET on FS1.

"We're going to be rolling off sixth for the big show, so a great starting position to put ourselves into an opportunity for the Sunday that really matters. Good job to the team, and we're going to be working hard to pepper in the race car to give it everything that we've got."

Full-Field Qualifying | P19 | 230.661 mph |
Starting Position | P19 | Row 7 |
"After rain canceled yesterday, everyone had one shot to get it right to break into the Fast 12. We thought we’d have more speed than what we showed on track, so there’s a little disappointment there. That said, conditions were tricky and quite different than anything we’d practiced in this week. That’s this track for you. You just never know. Now we dial in for the race next Sunday. The 7 crew and I have been working hard all month long, and we’ll keep that up this week. It’s a long 500 miles, and I’ll be ready to work my way to the front."

Full-Field Qualifying | P21 | 230.213 mph |
Starting Position | P21 | Row 7 |
"A little bit of a disappointing Qualifying day. Just different than I was expecting. Had a bit of a weak Lap 1 chasing the balance, preparing for the next three laps with an unexpected balance. It was a similar story for a lot of people, but we'll have a strong race car next Sunday."

Full-Field Qualifying | P23 | 230.202 mph |
Starting Position | P23 | Row 8 |
"The car was balanced really well. It was free. It just felt like a really good Qualifying run. When I looked down at the dash, the speed wasn't matching what I'm feeling. So, that's just the way it goes sometimes here, and we're just going to have to focus on the race car now."
"It was an okay day. I don't want to sound like I'm not happy about having a car in the second row, but today we got 25 percent of the job done, and with the other three cars, we missed here and there. But if you look at all 33 cars, everyone is saying the same thing. There are some good drivers in the back when you miss just a little bit. This is the beauty of Indianapolis Motor Speedway. All in all, what matters is next week. Tomorrow is an important day as far as race balance. We're going to have a busy week, and I'm confident we have good race cars. Would we have liked to be on the pole? 100%. In a week from now, though, no one is going to remember. Let's go take next week."
