ESPN TO EXCLUSIVELY PREMIERE SEASON 1 OF WORLD’S FASTEST GAMER

Powered by Millennial Esports

‘World’s Fastest Gamer Powered by Millennial Esports’ will tell the full story of how McLaren found its new simulator driver from tens of thousands of gamers across the globe.

Over four 30 minute shows, specifically produced for ESPN, viewers will be told the story of why McLaren and Millennial Esports reached into the rapidly growing world of esports to find the best virtual racing talent on the planet.

From thousands of gamers racing online, 12 were picked to attend the finals week at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre. There they competed head-to-head for a contract to become a McLaren simulator driver – the best job in esports.

Ben Payne, McLaren Director of esports, said:

“We’re pleased to have partnered with Millenial Esports on World’s Fastest Gamer last year. Being the first Formula 1 team to venture into esports has allowed us to lead the way in this rapidly growing market.”

World’s Fastest Gamer will make its ESPN premiere in the US on Saturday 25th of August, when all four episodes will be shown back-to-back between Free Practice 3 and Qualifying of the Belgian Grand Prix. The shows will be repeated over the remainder of the Spa Grand Prix weekend and two weeks later during ESPN coverage for the Italian Grand Prix.

More details about airing dates in other regions will be announced shortly.
