“Looking ahead to the second event of the season, we start off with my favourite circuit, Silverstone. It’s a track that is always an exciting place to go racing and one I’m aiming to secure a strong result at this week.
“Circuit of the Americas is another track I'm looking forward to. We secured Pole there last season, so our focus will be on the team’s Qualifying pace to make sure that happens again this year.
“We have analysed Event One over the last few weeks and worked hard in preparation to build on our strengths and work on some areas of improvement to make a step forward in the Championship. I'm looking forward to getting going again in Sweden this week with the rest of the Shadow team.”

“I can’t wait to get back out on track for Event Two in Sweden. It was an amazing feeling to make my debut for McLaren at Event One and I'm confident we can improve our results as a team this time round.
“We have four tracks ahead of us this week, starting with Silverstone which is a home race for many of the grid. I'll be especially motivated to secure a result in that one and then carry that momentum into the following three races of the event.
“We have debriefed on Event One and are fully focused on improving our Qualifying performance. This is important for Zandvoort as there are limited overtaking opportunities and we will be determined to nail our Qualifying lap to give ourselves the best chance of securing a positive result for the team.
“Spa will be an interesting race with the variable weather conditions mixed in with the long straights and fast corners. It will be a great watch for the fans alongside the final race of the event, COTA which has the same type of straights and corners, something I enjoy.”

“Heading into Event Two, we have four more exciting tracks to go racing. Silverstone is a great circuit to start the event, a very historic track and a lot of the drivers on the grid really enjoy racing there.
“We will make sure we put ourselves in the best position to start the week before heading to Spa and Zandvoort which are two technical tracks. COTA is another good circuit we know we can perform at and that’s our aim, to ultimately build on our Championship position.
“We’ve been working really hard as a group since Event One and we’re all focused on the challenge ahead. The whole team are pushing for better results and the support behind us is extremely appreciated.”

Joel Chapman, Team Manager, McLaren Shadow, said:
“The entire Shadow team are heading back to Stockholm for Event Two with a clear view of the opportunities ahead of us. The season is still early, and a strong showing will put us where we know we should be in the Championship.
“We’ve shown plenty of promise so far this season with fantastic race pace and I'm so proud of the team with all the hard work they’ve put in at home and MTC while preparing for Event Two.
”I know that we’re all looking forward to getting back on track at the four upcoming circuits where the team will get the opportunity to show their talent while aiming for positive results.”
