“I’m really looking forward to racing in Diriyah, the first double-header of the season, and a track we went well at last year. Last time out, I got my first pole position in Formula E here, so I’m excited to be back. The track is really special, it’s a challenging one for drivers with a lot of high speed, so really looking forward to tackling it later this week. I hope we can build on our start to the season, potentially scoring some more points in both races and aiming to fight near the front of the field.”

“I’m very excited to be out in Diriyah for the second and third rounds of the season. It’s a very important race for us with NEOM being our Title Partner. We consider this to be one of our home races. It’s a race that I have gone well at before, winning twice and getting another podium, so I’m looking forward to hopefully having a strong weekend. It’s also a race where NEOM McLaren have competed strongly at in the past, so I’m optimistic about our potential for this weekend.”

“We're heading into the race week in Diriyah with a good dose of optimism and excitement.
“The pace and energy management we saw during the first event of the season, over a week ago in Mexico City, was a step in the right direction compared to last year. The work the team put in over the off-season was clearly visible. There is still room for improvement, and we took away new learnings from the first round of the season, which we have started to address. It's good to have the first points of the season on the board, but we know we can score more points if we put in the work and can be more consistent and live out our mantra of 'operational excellence' throughout the race weekend.
“Diriyah is one of our home races of the season, and we have created some great memories here in the past. Last year, we managed to clinch our maiden pole position and podium finish as the NEOM McLaren Formula E Team. It's always special to share the race memories with our Title Partner, NEOM, and I can't wait to create new memories together.
“We're ready to race!"

Jake kicked off his second season of Formula E in the points. Sam was disappointed to miss out on the top 10 on his NEOM McLaren debut as he finished 14th, but he was pleased with what he learned as Team Principal Ian James praised the pair’s overall race management.
