SPORTING DIRECTOR, EXTREME E
Mark’s career with McLaren Racing spans more than 25 years. His first taste of success came in 1995 when, as a senior technician, he was part of the Le Mans-winning project team. He later transferred across to the team’s Formula 1 set-up, where he fulfilled several roles between 2001 and 2019, ranging from data engineer and R&D to Reliability Engineer and Assistant Chief Mechanic for the Race Team. He also filled in as Team Manager at F1 Tests.
Since 2019, Mark has overseen non-Formula 1 activities as a Director of McLaren Racing, supporting the Arrow McLaren SP IndyCar team, Heritage Operations and Events. In 2021 Mark was appointed Sporting Director of the McLaren Extreme E Team, entrusted to oversee McLaren Racing’s debut season in the innovative, all-electric race series.
