A titan of Australian motorsport
Zak Brown has paid tribute to Ron Walker, who sadly passed away on 30th January 2018.
"It is with great sadness that we heard of the passing of Ron Walker. Ron was a titan of Australian motorsport and Formula 1: ambitious in his vision, generous with his time, and always passionate about improving the sport and his beloved Melbourne.
"At McLaren, we enjoyed great fortune in the city under his stewardship of the Australian Grand Prix. And on behalf of everybody at McLaren, I pay tribute to an unselfish giant of a man who leaves behind a great sporting legacy. To his wife and family, we offer our deepest condolences."
