“It was great to finish on the podium in the final round of the season. Abu Dhabi is a strong track for me, and we were so close to the win. Overall, this event has been a slightly mixed bag. We made some great moves in the races in Round 9 and Round 10 which put some solid points on the board. Whilst Round 11 was trickier, we finished the event on a high. Rounding out my second season in F1 Sim Racing, I've learnt a lot from this year. I want to say thanks to the McLaren team and fans, I can be proud of what we’ve achieved.”

“A tough event with many challenges to round out a tricky season. We’ve worked incredibly hard all season long but just couldn’t quite put it all together, which has been difficult. Across the four races, we struggled in qualifying which didn’t put us in the best place to get into the points when it came to the races. There have been a lot of learnings for me and for the team but we can take a lot from that. Thank you to the team for their support.”

Joel Chapman, Team Manager, McLaren Racing, said:

“It was great to finish on the podium with Alfie today after a brilliant drive and some strong strategy. Overall, it has been a mixed event for us. We struggled in qualifying, but we had some strong race performances, consistently gaining places.

“It’s been a tougher season for us and not where we want to be performing, but we can take a lot of positives from it. We had some really great showings across the twelve rounds, and I’m proud of how the team consistently showed up with positive and supportive mindsets, which shows the great characters we have here at McLaren. We now take some time to rest and reset after a busy three events.”
