“Round 12 has finished in Jakarta, and it was a positive weekend overall. We finished P6 in the race and qualified P2. Coming into the weekend I had limited confidence, knowing that I had to learn another circuit – this low grip is very different compared to what I’m used to.

“For the team, this was a decent result with P6 and P7, and we’re taking home some points. I’m looking forward to the next race in Berlin, which is a track I was able to drive last season.”

“That’s a wrap here in Jakarta, with a P6 and P7 finish and a points haul for the team. It wasn’t the result we wanted, but when we take a look at what could’ve been, we will take it and be thankful.

“From my side, it was a bit of a disappointing finish because we were in a competitive position at one stage and an issue with Attack Mode set us back. We’ll learn from it and come back stronger in Berlin.”

Ian James

“The track state here in Jakarta played a huge role in how the weekend unfolded; each session saw the grip changing, challenging both the drivers and teams. Ultimately, our progress through the sessions was strong, culminating in a front-row start for Taylor.

“Attack Mode activation then impacted Sam’s and Taylor’s respective races – albeit for different reasons. Ultimately, we’re not satisfied with the end result, as there was potential for more than a P6 and P7 finish. However, having both cars in the points keeps us in strong positions in both the Drivers’ and Teams’ Championships, with only 4 races left to go.”
