Home of the McLAREN United AS WEC Hypercar Team

Welcome to the home of the McLaren United AS WEC Hypercar Team.

In 1995, McLaren made its debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Unfancied and inexperienced, but driven by hard work and determination, we defied expectation. The victory that followed has become the stuff of sporting legend: a gritty underdog story that sits among endurance racing’s most celebrated moments.

That remarkable triumph, delivered by J.J. Lehto, Yannick Dalmas and Masanori Sekiya, also secured McLaren’s place in racing history as one of the few teams to have completed motorsport’s ultimate challenge, the prestigious Triple Crown: winning the Monaco Grand Prix, the Indianapolis 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans - a feat we now aspire to replicate with our return to the world’s premier endurance series.

Thirty years on from that legendary victory, the McLaren United AS WEC Hypercar Team was officially unveiled in Le Mans, ahead of our 2027 LMDh entry into the top class of the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Led by Team Principal James Barclay, the McLaren United AS WEC Hypercar will be designed by McLaren, built by Dallara and operated in partnership with United Autosports, powered by a V6 twin-turbo engine.

The next chapter starts here. Follow our journey.
