What better way to celebrate Formula 1’s return to action this weekend than with a massive papaya party?

McLaren Racing Live is back, and it’s bigger than ever. We’re taking over the streets of Miami for a five-day immersive, fan-focused experience ahead of this weekend’s Grand Prix.

To help you make the most of McLaren Racing Live: Miami, we’ve put together a guide with everything you need to know, including what to expect, who’ll be there, and where to find us.

What is McLaren Racing Live?

With so few fans ever getting the opportunity to attend a Grand Prix in person, McLaren Racing Live is our way of opening up the wonderful world of Formula 1 to a wider audience, and bringing you even closer to the team. This latest edition is our most ambitious yet. Building on the success of McLaren Racing Live: London and McLaren Racing Live: Zone Studio in Austin last year, the Miami event will bring the energy of McLaren Racing directly to fans away from the track. Whether you’re a seasoned superfan or a more casual viewer, we’ve worked hard to ensure McLaren Racing Live: Miami offers something for everyone.

And Wednesday, you ask? We have something extra special planned for the opening day of McLaren Racing Live: Miami…

Is that ‘something extra special’ the Showrun by any chance?

Correct! As we alluded to earlier, this year’s McLaren Racing Live: Miami is our most ambitious yet. A major highlight will be a special one-off Showrun, where we’ll be taking over the streets of Miami for a series of runs that are guaranteed to get hearts racing.

Showruns are a rare treat in Formula 1, and so we’ve brought together a fitting cast featuring many of the most iconic cars from McLaren’s history to mark the occasion. Driven by McLaren legends past and present, this will be a celebration of our racing heritage unlike any other in recent memory.

The M23, MP4/6, MP4/14, MP4-23, MCL60, and the Arrow McLaren IndyCar will all hit the streets of Coconut Grove, driven by Emerson Fittipaldi, Bruno Senna, Mika Häkkinen, Oscar Piastri, Lando Norris, and Tony Kanaan, respectively.

Who will be at McLaren Racing Live: Miami?

This year’s must-see blockbuster features a star-studded ensemble cast, led by our two-time World Championship-winning pairing, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri - our leading men at the heart of the action. Backing them up are two more key figures from last year’s success story, CEO Zak Brown and Team Principal Andrea Stella, pulling the strings behind the scenes like seasoned producers. All four will be at the Showrun on Wednesday, with Oscar driving the MP4-23 and Lando the MCL60.

Everyone loves a crossover episode, and in a plot twist few will have seen coming, this year we’re bringing together stars from across the McLaren Racing universe with guest appearances from our IndyCar line-up. Pato O’Ward, Christian Lundgaard, Nolan Siegel, and Ryan Hunter-Reay will join us on Thursday for a signing session and a Q&A, adding their own edge, energy, and flair to a cast already packed with racing pedigree. There will also be an appearance from their Team Principal, Tony Kanaan, in the Showrun, driving the Arrow McLaren IndyCar.

No blockbuster is complete without its legendary figures, and stepping into those roles are Mika Häkkinen and Emerson Fittipaldi – McLaren icons, whose presence will guarantee this epic thriller sweeps the board when award season comes around. Mika and Emmo will join us on Wednesday to drive their Championship-winning cars in the Showrun.

Expect drama, speed, and unforgettable moments worthy of the big screen.

Fans certainly won’t be short of things to do. Alongside the Showrun, we’ll be transforming Regatta Harbour into a vibrant hub of McLaren Racing activity.

All the cars from the Showrun will be on display for photos throughout the event, while big screens will show every session live so fans can watch alongside fellow members of the Papaya Family.

How much does McLaren Racing Live cost, and how do I get in?

It’s completely free and open to all.

The Showrun at McLaren Racing Live: Miami is a ticketed event, subject to availability, but access to the fan zone is free, and fans are welcome to come and go throughout the day.

However, entry will operate on a first-come, first-served basis, and re-admission is not guaranteed, so if you do leave, you’ll have to rejoin the back of the queue.

To keep everyone safe, there’s a limit on how many people can be inside the venue at any one time. If we hit capacity, we’ll switch to a one-in, one-out system. Follow the McLaren App and our social media channels for live updates on capacity, access, and event news throughout the two days.
