Born into a racing family in Hedensted, Denmark, Christian kicked off his professional karting journey at 11 years old and showed his prowess from a young age. His career quickly took off as he won multiple major championships throughout European karting competition.
Christian made the jump to single-seater racing in 2017 when he debuted in the Spanish F4 Championship and the SMP F4 Championship at 15 years old. He then competed in the GP3 Series Championship in 2018 where he finished second in the standings.
Christian emerged as an Alpine development driver competing in the 2019 FIA Formula 3 Championship, where he produced a win, two podiums and two poles. He then made the jump to the FIA Formula 2 Championship under Alpine support, where he registered two wins and nine podiums across the 2020-21 seasons.
He next shifted gears to the North American motorsports scene where he made in immediate splash as the 2022 NTT INDYCAR SERIES Rookie of the Year with Rahal Letterman Lanigan, with which he raced through his first three seasons in the series.
Christian has produced a strong start to his campaign in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, boasting a win, two pole positions and three podiums. He remains the only Danish driver in INDYCAR SERIES history to boast a race win after a dominant performance on the streets of Toronto in 2023.
Christian, 23, will join Arrow McLaren for the 2025 season and beyond, piloting the No. 7 VELO Arrow McLaren Chevrolet.
