A good cause

Why Smartsheet is taking their logo off of the MCL36 and replacing it with a nonprofit

Sponsor

For the Australian Grand Prix, Smartsheet will carry out an unconventional idea in sponsorships. An idea that doesn’t focus on what their company does, but what they believe in: work that matters. They call it Sponsor X.

For one race, they’ll take all the media and marketing support they would normally use to support their company — from logo placement on the car to all their social media posts — and donate it to a deserving nonprofit. For this grand prix, we’re pleased to say it's Australian non profit DeadlyScience.

DeadlyScience is on a mission to provide science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) resources, mentoring and learning opportunities to remote schools in Australia. They’ve provided more than 20,000 culturally appropriate books focused on STEM to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students since being founded in 2018 by Corey Tutt.

Smartsheet teamed up with DeadlyScience to show the world their story — and we could not be more excited to feature them on both our cars during the Australian Grand Prix. It’s the first time we’ve raced at this track since 2019 and we can’t think of a better way to return to Melbourne.
