McLaren is pleased to announce that the rFactor 2 Qualifiers for Season 2 of the McLaren Shadow Project open today until 6 October.

The qualifiers provide an opportunity for fans of Studio 397’s realistic PC racing simulation to reach the Grand Finals of McLaren’s Shadow Project which take place at the McLaren Technology Centre in the UK on 9-11 December.

The rFactor 2 winner will be one of eight finalists to experience the McLaren Shadow Project elite driver training programme and drive a real-life McLaren 570S around a private track in a competition that truly shadows McLaren’s real world.

The Grand Finals will conclude with the eight elite sim racers competing for one place in McLaren’s Shadow esports team for the 2020 season.

And, if a season on the McLaren Shadow esports team isn’t enough, the rFactor 2 winner will also be treated to a personal tour of the McLaren Technology Centre and a Sunday Grandstand ticket for the 2020 British Grand Prix at Silverstone (including flights and accommodation).

We’re looking forward to welcoming the rFactor 2 winner to MTC in December and seeing the raw talent up close!”

For one week only rFactor 2’s sim racing drivers can enter by completing their fastest lap at Silverstone using the McLaren Senna GTR, the supercar which launched as downloadable content on 17 August.
