Igor de Oliveira Rodrigues fought his way into the McLaren Shadow finals by qualifying with an impressive performance via Forza Motorsport 7. Find out more about our 20-year-old Brazilian finalist below.

1. Grinding

Igor put in some serious preparation for the McLaren Shadow qualifiers. He fell in love with racing games and Forza in 2018 and never looked back, with an estimated 1,200 practice laps driven before the event. Competitive by nature, Igor is always seeking to improve and be better.

2. Tourist

In December Igor will head to the UK for the Grand Finals, making it the first time he’s ever touched down on British soil, and the second time he’s ever left his home country of Brazil.

3. 9 to 5?

Igor has a jam-packed schedule trying to balance his job and studies. During the day Igor works in an office doing finance, stock management, purchasing and freights, and in the evening Igor studies for his undergraduate degree in Administration. Once he’s home, then he can concentrate on gaming…

4. Qualified

Although Igor only started playing racing games in 2018, he’s no stranger to esports. From the age of 12, he has played Call of Duty and League of Legends competitively, adding Forza to the CV most recently.

5. Dream team

With a passion for being the best and McLaren’s support and infrastructure in tow, Igor believes that it could be the recipe for success.
