
NEOM McLAREN Formula E Team announce rookie driver for Valencia Pre-Season Testing
"I can’t wait to get started with the team and do everyone proud"

The NEOM McLaren Formula E Team today announced that Taylor Barnard will drive for the team as a rookie driver during the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship’s Valencia Pre-Season Test.
Taylor, from Norwich, England, currently competes in FIA Formula 3, and took his maiden victory in the championship at Spa-Francorchamps in 2023. He is also the reigning ADAC Formula 4 runner-up.

Ian James, Managing Director, NEOM McLaren Electric Racing and Team Principal, NEOM McLaren Formula E Team, said:
“I am delighted that we can give Taylor his first taste of electric racing in Valencia next week. He has already proven himself to be an up-and-coming talent in single seater motorsport, and I’m looking forward to seeing how he gets on in NEOM McLaren Formula E Team machinery.”
Taylor Barnard said:
“I’m really excited to get my first taste of Formula E with the NEOM McLaren Formula E Team in Valencia next week. I can’t wait to get behind the wheel and complete my first laps in Gen3 machinery. The NEOM McLaren Formula E Team will be in action next week when official testing begins (23 – 27 October 2023, in Valencia, Spain), ahead of the first round of Season 10 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, the Mexico City E-Prix, on 13 January 2024.
