The biggest weekend of the year through your eyes
If teleportation was real, or if it was possible to be in two places at once, then the first thing we’d do is attend both the Monaco Grand Prix and the Indianapolis 500.
Sadly, neither is possible right now, but with thousands of you attending the two races every year, we can live out our dreams via the incredible Papaya Army. It’s two massive races on one mammoth weekend, and you documented it all on social media.Here’s the best of your reaction to our favourite day of the year.

The tireless work of our garage crew helped us to secure 10th and 11th on the grid for Lando and Oscar, respectively. We also had four cars starting in the top 10 for the Indy 500.
Safe to say we woke up pretty happy on our favourite day of the year…

After a quiet start to the race with Lando and Oscar still running where they started, rumours of rain started to spread around the garages...
The rain increased and the team acted to quickly to fit both cars with inters, performing an impressive double-stack and sending them back out to fight for points.
Rain = chaos.

A few lucky McLaren Plus members even got to watch the races in our home at the McLaren Technology Centre.

After a solid result in Monte Carlo, it was gutting to see our Indy 500 hopes end in the way they did, with Felix and Pato suffering crashes that dropped them from the front of the grid to the back. But we’ll be back stronger.
Wherever you were in the world, thanks for your support Papaya Army. We’ll be back in just a few short days, with a BIG weekend of racing that includes track action from INDYCAR, Formula 1 and Formula E. Let’s get it.
