What they say

“I’m really excited to be heading back to South America and to be back with the team. How we finished in Chile was a real highlight of the season so far, despite the penalties, it was great having so much speed. We’re hoping to build on that in Uruguay and want to take all that we’ve learned over the previous four events and put that into practice again. Looking forward to another event and I can’t wait to see what the track has to offer! I hope it has as many great racing opportunities as we saw in Chile with the track we had there.”

“The fifth and final round of Extreme E in Uruguay marks the end of a whirlwind first season for the NEOM McLaren Extreme E Team. Emma and I have grown as a driving duo, the team has grown as a tight unit with a focus on results, and the pace has increased dramatically over the span of one short season. We exceeded expectations in Round 4 by crossing the finish line first in the final but unfortunately on paper we finished fifth after some time penalties. I’m looking forward to wrapping up the year in positive fashion!”
Mark Grain, Sporting Director
“Off the back of a very strong performance in Chile, the NEOM McLaren Extreme E Team are hugely excited about the season finale in Uruguay.
"We’ve been using the time between races wisely, reviewing all aspects of car and team performance in detail and are determined to close out our first season on a high.
"We had our final pre-event call last week coordinating New Zealand, UK and West Coast US time zones! Both Emma and Tanner are super eager to get back behind the wheel and go racing for one last time in 2022.
"Uruguay looks to be a beautiful setting and we’re confident Extreme E will provide us with a challenging and thrilling track.
"The championship goes from strength to strength, as does the performance of our competitors, but we go to Uruguay confident we can keep our momentum, make the final and challenge for the win.”
