"I’m really looking forward to racing in Chile. Not only is it a new country for me, it’s also a new country for the McLaren team and for Extreme E to be going to, which adds an extra element of excitement to it.

"It will be great for Tanner and myself to get out onto a new track. We’ve been learning on the go in preparation for the event. A new location brings some exciting challenges, and I can’t wait to get started and represent McLaren out there. We were strong in Sardinia and have our eyes on the podium this time around. If we have a clean run in qualifying, I am confident we will be able to achieve that."

"We’re so excited to get back into the NEOM McLaren Extreme E truck this weekend! The terrain in Chile looks very challenging and it’s a part of the world I’ve never visited before.

"Our championship has had some ups and downs so far but we’re looking forward to finding our stride in the next few events. Hopefully, we can translate decent pace into positive results starting in South America!"

Mark Grain, Sporting Director

"Off the back of making the semi-final in Sardinia, the team are looking forward to competing in Chile. It’s a very exciting prospect for McLaren as it’s the first time we’ve raced in the country across any of our series.

"We’ve used the time in between races wisely, reviewing all the data and ensuring we’re ready to go for this new challenge. Despite the difficulties of navigating time zones, balancing the UK, New Zealand, and the west coast of the USA, we’ve had productive preparations for this next round and the team and drivers are feeling confident. We go to Chile with our hopes high and looking forward to racing in this new and exciting location."
