This week, McLaren Shadow will be racing in Event 2 of the 2022 F1 Esports Series season.
Heading into Event 2, the team are currently P1 in the Constructors’ Championship with 86 points. Shadow driver Lucas Blakeley leads the Drivers’ Standings with 65 points, Bari Boroumand sits P5 on 21 points.
Virtual trips to Austria, Belgium and Zandvoort beckon. While Bari, Lucas and Wilson get ready to race, here’s everything you need to know.
“Heading into Event 2, our preparation has been slightly different to what we did for Event 1. Having us all here at MTC has allowed our team spirit to really show, it has been great working with Lucas and Wilson and the rest of the Shadow team. We want to continue to build on what we achieved in Event 1, and make sure we finish Event 2 strong.
“Looking at Event 2 we certainly have different challenges at every track we drive at. The racing at Belgium and Austria could be spicy with track position being key at Zandvoort. It will be critical to maximise our opportunities and build on the strengths that we had in Event 1. We’ve put a lot of hours into this event as a team working together to be prepared for all eventualities.”
“Heading into Event 2 we are looking to build on our lead. We have been working very hard behind the scenes and we know what needs to be done. Just because we are leading now does not mean we will be leading next event so we need to stay hungry.”
