Monaco, Shanghai and the Indy 500 according to social

Three countries, three races, one team: The best social reaction from the biggest weekend in racing

Our Formula 1, NTT INDYCAR SERIES and Formula E teams were all in action this weekend and, in a strange quirk of fate, all secured identical results, bringing a huge haul of points back to our factories with three second-place finishes.

With the Monaco Grand Prix and the Indianapolis 500 both taking place on the same day, this weekend in May is always the biggest of the year for racing fans, but with our Formula E team also in action in Shanghai, and our F1 team wearing our one-off livery celebrating Ayrton Senna, it was an extra special affair. Although we narrowly missed out on victory in all three races, our drivers can be proud of their efforts this weekend, all returning home with a lot to celebrate.

Here's what social media made of all three races…

Weekend plans sorted.

A special livery for a track where we've made so many memories.

It did. 😏

Ashamed? We challenge you to find one person who didn't laugh.

Team looking 💯 in Senna's colours. 💛💚💙

Is that not what it’s meant for?

Ready to tackle Senna’s streets.

Anyone else wish they were a boat? No? Just us, apparently, @pinklando.

Just two Leclerc’s qualifying on the front row in Monaco.

Who’d have thought? Not me.

Meanwhile, over in Shanghai, Jake clinched his fourth Formula E pole.

Nicely converted, Jake! We love your work. A well-earned first FE podium.

Even Gabriel got in on the act, with P2 in the Monaco Sprint Race.

A race steeped in history.

Gearing up for the Greatest Spectacle in Racing in Indianapolis... Time to create some new history.

Time to go get it.

YES OP! What a drive.

Two fantastic performances in our limited edition livery.

Securing silverware on the famous streets of Monte Carlo.

Can we not have both?

Shout it louder for the people in the back.

Time to turn our attention to the Indy 500…

Alexander Rossi and Pato O’Ward were both in the hunt for victory.

We gave it absolutely everything, but Pato narrowly missed out on victory, finishing second.

Great effort, Arrow McLaren! You did us proud. Alexander also fought for the win, but finished in fourth, with Callum Ilott 11th and Kyle Larson in 18th.

From Indianapolis to Shanghai and Monaco, what a weekend. Wherever you were watching from, thanks for all of your support, Papaya Army.
