It’s Lando’s birthday! He’s hitting the big 2-0. It’s an anniversary that means… well, for a racing driver from the UK, nothing much, given that he’s already old enough to drive a car, pop into a pub and take eight books out of a library in one visit – but is still four decades away from qualifying for a bus pass.

We’ll celebrate anyway, of course. There will be cake in the team's hotel and the singing of songs, possibly with non-repeatable lyrics if Carlos is in charge. Several of the garage crew will point out they were working on Mika or David’s car the day he was born (they’re lying, the season had finished a fortnight prior). Lando will brace himself for some unusual birthday questions during his media sessions, and doubtless a few undiscovered trivia gems will be uncovered in that discourse.
