McLAREN Racing to create immersive fan experience in Austin
"The Zone Studio epitomises our ambition to bring incredible experiences to fans"
McLaren Racing will be inviting fans to get in the zone on 16-18 October, at a free, un-ticketed three-day fan event in downtown Austin ahead of the United States Grand Prix.
Located at LZR in downtown Austin - formerly home to the iconic La Zona Rosa concert hall - McLaren Racing Live: Zone Studio marks another key moment in McLaren Racing’s Never Stop Racing campaign, previously celebrated at the F1®75 season launch and in a Trafalgar Square fan takeover this July. The event will explore the intersection of high-performance racing and creative culture in Austin, bringing our sport closer to audiences who may not be able to attend the race itself.
The space will embody that moment of focus and peak performance - when athletes and creatives alike are ‘in the zone’. Fans will be able to immerse themselves in this feeling through interactive experiences uniting the energy of McLaren Racing with the vision of global artists.
Presented by McLaren Racing partners Google Gemini and Dell Technologies, the event will also feature activations from Mastercard, eBay and Okta.
Across the three days, fans will be able to witness Austin-based muralist Rex Hamilton creating an artwork live in collaboration with Google Gemini as well as a Gemini Veo 3 AI video generator pop-up. Meanwhile, Dell Technologies will offer fans the chance to step into the pit lane to take to part in a virtual pit stop. A special helmet artwork will be created for eBay by King Saladeen, with the finished article set to be auctioned off on the marketplace. Fans can enjoy live music in the evenings and much more.
Louise McEwen, Chief Marketing Officer, McLaren Racing, said:
“The Zone Studio epitomises our Never Stop Racing campaign and our ambition to bring incredible experiences to fans who may not be able to attend the race itself. The three-day event is designed to bring both long-time supporters and newcomers to racing closer to the team as we get ready for the US GP. It’s an immersive celebration of creativity and high performance in an iconic Austin venue.”
