After a near complete washout due to rain on Opening Day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team was on track for Day 2 in preparation for the Indianapolis 500.

23 minutes of practice on Tuesday was all that could be completed due to Mother Nature, and the same was almost said about Wednesday's on-track activity. Five hours of missed practice time eventually led to the green flag at 3 p.m. ET today and four hours of practice.

Alexander Rossi was quickest of the Arrow McLaren cars, finishing fifth, while Pato O'Ward was seventh, Kyle Larson in 15th and Callum Ilott in 21st.

The team is back at the Speedway from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. ET on Thursday.

"The day didn't go as we hoped. When we wanted to do runs in a pack, there were no packs on the track. When we wanted to do single-car runs, cars would pull out in front of me. It was frustrating."

"It was a good day for the team at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Pato and Alexander were very comfortable in their cars and ran quite a few laps in traffic. It was a good day for Callum, as well, as he continues to get up to speed in our car and running a lot of laps. I think we're on the right path there. With Kyle, we started the day with a precautionary engine change. That cost us a bit of running to begin the day, and then we unfortunately couldn't do traffic running without any cars on the track. Then, we swapped over to get Kyle some extra qualifying prep to work through the procedures. He didn't get a ton of laps, but we still took care of some important things. We've checked the boxes in terms of getting ready for our qualifying runs, and we're looking forward to turning the boost up tomorrow."
