- Titles: 1
- McLaren Career Span: 2022 - 2025
The 2025 season marked Scottish driver Lucas Blakeley's sixth year in the F1 Sim Racing Championship.
Lucas is a veteran of the F1 Sim Racing World Championship, but before making his Sim Racing debut, he had been a promising karter, who had always harboured ambitions of landing in the cockpit of a physical racing car.
Since making his F1 Sim Racing debut with Aston Martin in 2021 – where he won twice and took six podiums to finish 3rd in the Drivers’ Championship - Lucas has been able to live out both dreams. He joined the McLaren Shadow team for 2022 and helped the team to a Drivers’ and Teams’ Championship double that year with a double win in the season finale.
During this time, the Scotsman has raced in GB4 and in 2024 he set a new record for the series’ largest winning margin, taking victory by 15 seconds at Silverstone. Lucas has also enjoyed success in the Race of Champions - beating Sebastian Vettel in 2022 and Valtteri Bottas in 2023 - and in Formula Ford.
