With the first round of World's Fastest Gamer qualifiers underway, we turn our attention to round two, the Silverstone esports Championship - an rFactor 2 series.
With the British home of motorsport hosting not only this weekend's British Grand Prix, but the rFactor2 qualifiers in August, we thought it only right to reveal more details of the Silverstone WFG qualifiers.Â
What will I race?Â
A McLaren, of course. Competitors will race over four weeks in a soon-to-be-unveiled race specification McLaren GT car.

Time trials
Before each race weekend, time trials will be open to all registered drivers. In weeks 1, 2 and 3, the fastest 20 will progress to that weekend's qualifying and race sessions, which will be part of a live esport broadcast. In week 4, the top 5 drivers from the weeks time trial will qualify directly for the final qualifying sessions and race on the Sunday.
Qualifying
Each of the 20 drivers will take part in the official qualifying session, with the top 5 drivers qualifying for Super Pole. Super Pole is a one lap shootout, giving the top 5 drivers from Qualifying one shot at going for pole position. The order from this session will decide the order for the top 5 drivers.
RaceÂ
Following Qualifying and Super Pole, there’ll be a 30-minute race, with the top 5 drivers from week 1, 2 and 3 qualifying for the final race on 3rd September.
Final race - 3rd September
Five drivers will compete in one 30-minute race to qualify for the WFG finale at MTC in November.
