The month started in the best way possible. Two days of F1 simulator work.

Of course, I can’t tell you too much about what I did in the sim, but we spent our time testing setup and different circuits in preparation for the remaining races of the season. With five races taking place over the space of just six weeks, there is always sim work to be done!

Another exciting moment happened in June – my first-ever live TV appearance. Dutch broadcaster, Ziggo Sport invited me to appear on a show driven by enthusiastic young people that love Formula 1.

Since winning World’s Fastest Gamer back in November last year, I’ve gained a lot of media experience, but being on a live show was a new and exciting challenge.

After spending the day at the Dutch Van Amersfoort Racing last month, the recording I did for the NOS Studio sport show aired and the final piece was really cool, showing the route from esports to real racing really well.

The final week in June is a busy one for me, with filming in the UK for a special project (watch this space for more information on that!) and a trip to the Austrian Grand Prix, where I’ll be supporting the team and meeting media. I always enjoy spending time in the F1 paddock, and it’ll be great to see everyone again.

Finally, I’m very happy to confirm I’ll be at the famous Goodwood Festival of Speed this year, driving the incredible 1974 championship winning McLaren M23. It was driven by the legendary Emerson Fittipaldi and is a proper old-school F1 beast. Even while typing this I get a smile from ear to ear. I’ll be driving it on the Friday and I really can’t wait!

The beginning of July means more F1 sim days for me before heading to Goodwood, and then to the German Grand Prix in Hockenheim, so I’ll have plenty of awesome moments to write about next month!
