Coming to a screen near you, from the team who brought you 1997’s MP4-12 launch with The Spice Girls and Jamiroquai, and 2007’s MP4-22 launch at a Street festival in Valencia, is the 2023 McLaren Formula 1 Team Launch.

Whilst we can’t promise you the Spice Girls or a European Street festival (the world has moved on a bit since then), we can guarantee you the first look at our 2023 Formula 1 car and an appearance from our new driver pairing, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. And let’s be honest, that’s what you’re all here to see.

We’ve plenty up our sleeves both before and after the main event. Lando and Oscar will be joined on stage by our CEO Zak Brown and our new Team Principal, Andrea Stella, and the four of them will detail their aspirations for the year ahead and give you their own unique insight into our 2023 challenger.

But before that, our guest hosts Vikkstar123 and Ariana Bravo will take you on a brief journey through our 60-year history, from the foundations laid by our founder, Bruce McLaren, leading up to the modern day, when we pull off the covers of our newest slice of history.

The show starts at 17:00 GMT (18:00 CET, 12:00 EST) on 13 February and will last around 20 minutes. You’ll be able to watch it live on YouTube, with further coverage across all of our social channels.

Things to do before and after

We’ve been taking you behind the scenes of car build over the past few weeks, including an access-all-areas pass into the McLaren Technology Centre for 24 hours. We also enjoyed an afternoon go-karting with Lando and spent a day in the life of Oscar, following him around on his first day at the factory.

It’s not only the MTC that is a 24-hour operation, our website and social channels have been overflowing with exclusive content and will continue to take you undercover in the lead-up to testing and beyond.

And if that’s not enough, then the McLaren App - available on Android and iOS - has been delving even deeper into our preparations. If you want to sneak into the nooks and crannies of the MTC and get stuck into the nuts and bolts of the car, then the app will become your new best friend. There’s plenty more to come over the coming weeks as we get under the bonnet of the new car and keep track of Lando and Oscar’s progress.
