Senna's homecoming
Bruno Senna discusses the return of his uncle's name to a McLaren Formula 1 car
The familiar sight of the Senna name on a McLaren tearing through the streets of Monaco has been a heart-warming feature of this weekend, and a beaming Bruno Senna said that he believes our fans will love its permanent addition to the car.
Ayrton Senna earned legendary status during six seasons with our team, winning 35 races, 48 podiums and all three of his world titles. But it was the standards he set day-to-day that left the most significant imprint, with his bravery, commitment and ingenuity continuing to influence us.
Bruno Senna was on hand as we unveiled his uncle's name on the halo of the MCL36 on Friday, and the 38-year-old lauded it as an "amazing feeling" for him and his family.
"Seeing the Senna logo on a McLaren is an amazing feeling," said Bruno. "We have a rich history together as a family and as a team, and it is very important to us that the logo is always in F1.

"As a family, we are really proud to see the logo on the McLaren. In terms of results and driving, Ayrton's best years were with McLaren. I always look back through Ayrton's career with McLaren, and my family has great memories of it as well.
"I think that the fans will love it. It is a great synergy. The fans are so crazy about McLaren, and they are still so crazy about Senna. It is one of those synergetic things that will continue throughout time with no ending."
It was on the storied streets of Monte Carlo where Senna enjoyed his greatest racing triumphs. Winning the Monaco Grand Prix a record six times, including five in a row for us at the principality between 1989 and 1993, he was dubbed the "King of Monaco."
"[Revealing] the logo in Monaco is even more important because Monaco is such an important place for Ayrton," he continued. "He has the most wins in Monaco, and quite a few of those were with McLaren! This is a great way to celebrate our continuing partnership.
"Obviously, I am biased, but I really believe that the Senna name is synonymous with McLaren, and McLaren is synonymous with Senna. I think that we have such a great history together. We have achieved so much."

Bruno has forged a career of his own in motorsport, spending three years in Formula 1 between 2010 and 2012 before stints in Formula E and the World Endurance Championship. He's also a McLaren Automotive brand ambassador and driver.
Ayrton Senna's name and crest will appear on the halo with the support of the Senna Foundation, a Brazilian-based charity created by Ayrton's sister, Vivianne Senna.
Discussing the foundation's impact, Bruno explained: "The Senna Foundation is very present in Brazil. We work to give children and teenagers opportunities and education to develop their potential.
"Throughout its history, the Foundation has helped more than 20 million children. It is a big project. It was Ayrton's dream to help people get opportunities to develop their potential, and it is fantastic that we are able to continue this with McLaren."
